You can become a voter for the upcoming Teacher and Graduate MLC (Member of Legislative Council) elections by applying online. The process is straightforward.
Applications to become a voter in the Teacher and Graduate MLC elections have begun. You can submit your forms online or at the Tehsil, Block, and Nagar Panchayat offices until November 6. The final voter list will be published by December 30. The election for the Agra Division Teacher-Graduate MLC seat is expected to be held in February 2026.
The Agra Teacher and Graduate divisions cover 12 districts: Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, Etah, Hathras, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Auraiya, Aligarh, Mainpuri, and Kasganj. Elections will be held for two seats in these divisions. The Election Commission has appointed Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh as the Returning Officer for both constituencies.
Deputy District Election Officer ADM City Yamunadhar Chauhan stated that teachers and graduates who meet the eligibility criteria as of November 1, 2025, can apply to become voters until November 6.
Eligibility to Become a Voter
- For Graduate Voters:
- Must be a resident of the constituency.
- Must have obtained a graduation degree or equivalent qualification at least three years prior to November 1, 2025.
- For Teacher Voters:
- Must have been engaged in teaching for at least three years during the six years immediately preceding November 1, 2025, in an educational institution within the state.

- Online Application: You can apply online through the Chief Electoral Officer’s website: https://ceouttarpradesh.nic.in/
- Offline Submission: Application forms can also be submitted at all Tehsil, Block, Nagar Palika (Municipal), and designated Polling Stations.
